PotHolePatch® is the Solution
PotHolePatch® has been specifically formulated as a multi component system producing a catalytic reaction to create apowerful, durable and easy to apply solution for a well known problem.
The highly effective dry formulation of a tough polymer, a curing enhancing element and recycled asphalt provides a unique, solid and durable structure for long lasting pothole repairs.
PotholePatch® is Unique
• Excellent bonding capabilities to fine particles, asphalt, aggregate, and other organic or inorganic substrates
• Superb curing characteristics at or above freezing temperatures
• Remarkably simple application process Exceptional chemical, thermal and ultraviolet light stability
• Environmentally benign
PotholePatch® is Environmentally Safe
The bonding agent: PotHoleGlue®
• Contains no harmful chemical solvents
• Does not emit any volatile organic compounds (VOC)
• Is non-corrosive
• Does not change the pH of the soil
• Has no harmful effects on people, plants animals, fish or other aquatic life
As a water soluble product, PotHolePatch® may be applied to environmentally sensitive areas as it has no adverse effects on plants, animals or groundwater.
Considering these characteristics, PotHolePatch® is a superb alternative to conventional, more harmful and less effective methods such as cold patch.
PotholePatch®
PotHolePatch® is conveniently packaged as a user-friendly repair kit in a 23 litre bucket. It consists of 20kg. of recycled asphalt as the pothole filler and 3kg of PotHoleGlue in a re-closeable plastic bag that serves as the unique high-quality bonding agent.
This repair kit has enough material to permenently fix a 600 mm2 pothole (approx) at a depth of 25mm.
Application is easy and straight forward by mixing the two dry components with less than 2 litres of water. See detailed application instruction in this brochure.
How to apply
Follow instructions below for a successful pothole repair.
1). Pour the recycled asphalt (RAP) into a wheelbarrow. 13mm minus aggregate with 20% fines may be substituted when RAP is not available.
2). Mix the dry PotHoleGlue into the recycled asphalt. (For smaller potholes, use the amount of recycled asphalt needed and add the equivalent amount of the dry PotHoleGlue. Make sure to reseal the plastic bag for future use).
3). Evenly distribute 1.5 liters of water over the dry mix (Do not over water!).
4). Thoroughly mix water with the blend of PotHoleGlue and recycled asphalt until you have a homogenous pothole patch. Patch might appear somewhat dry; however, this consistency is needed for best compaction.
5). Pour the patch into the pothole and compact it with a hand tamper, plate compactor or similar equipment.
6). Clean wheelbarrow and any other equipment with water.
